General Threats General Information
The recent political Unrest has led to a number of defined factions involved in Monrassa:
Monrassa National Police Force
Dress & Equipment : Black uniforms with Black Hats. Will generally be carrying Pistols and Various Assault rifles.
Attitude :
It is a relatively newly formed Police force so expect to encounter problems with discipline and professionalism, particularly in respect of extortion and weapon handling.
They are generally ambivalent to foreign press and foreigners in general. The official line is that it is good to have foreign interest and Aid but this attitude sometimes does not reach the average police official.
Monrassa National Army
Dress & Equipment : DPM green uniforms with green helmets. Will be carrying a version of the SA 80 assault rifle.
Attitude to Foreigners : Generally positive towards visitors. Want to show the outside world that they have control and give a good impression. No reports of corruption.
United Nations Peace Keeping Force
Dress & Equipment : DPM green uniforms with blue berets. Will be carrying a there donor countries weaponry.
Attitude to Foreigners : Positive and are willing to help on a humanitarian level. Will be extremely reluctant to be involved in any military operations.
Movement for the Liberation of Monrassa ( MLM)
Dress & Equipment : Mixed dress of civilian clothes and military camouflage clothing . Some will be wearing Shemagh scarfs and may occasionally have there faces covered. Will have AK47 assault rifles , pistols and panga style machetes.
Attitude to Foreigners : Have a generally bad view of outsiders and press. They believe that Monrassa’s problems have all resulted from Foreign interfering. They do not understand the potential benefit of improving their image and are considered a potential risk to all foreign visitors.
